Partnerships with other Organisations

As part of its partnership programme, WEC liases closely with numerous governmental and non-governmental energy organizations throughout the world.

Joint studies or regional projects are frequently established with such groups as the World Bank, regional development banks, the OECD's International Energy Agency, United Nations groupings including FAO, UNDP and such politico-economic organizations as the EU, OLADE and ASEAN. WEC also works closely with the International Chamber of Commerce, other business groups and specialized bodies in such areas as energy efficiency and climate change.

A recent important partnership project is WEC’s "Living Link" with the World Economic Forum. Through this collaborative arrangement, WEC has assisted WEF in designing and managing special sessions on energy for their regional business summits in China and India. WEC also participates in preparation of the agenda and identification of WEC speakers for the WEF annual Energy Governors meeting, usually held in Davos in late January.
