UKWEC is a not-for-profit membership body, representing the major energy interests in the United Kingdom  from  a multi-disciplinary standpoint.

At the end of 2009 the British Energy Association (BEA) merged with the Energy Institute and was renamed UKWEC - UK Member Committee of WEC

As one of WEC’s founder Member Committees, UKWEC is a senior and respected constituent of WEC’s global community of almost 100 countries, and fully endorses the multidisciplinary energy mix its members represent. Only UKWEC members can gain maximum value from WEC’s activities.

UKWEC members have contributed their expertise to many of the global energy studies and projects whose published findings were discussed at the 20th WEC Congress in Rome from 11-15 November 2007. Downloads of these reports are available to UKWEC/WEC members from the WEC website at: www.worldenergy.org
