World Energy Congress, Sydney 2004


The World Energy Council organises a world congress every three years. It is the premier international multi-energy forum with exhibitors from the field, and an opportunity for participants to better understand energy issues and solutions from a global perspective.

The 19th World Energy Congress took place in Sydney, Australia from the 5th to the 9th September 2004.

Global Energy Award winner: Gerhard Ott

German energy leader, coal and gas expert, lawyer and energy association executive Dr. Gerhard Ott was named winner of the World Energy Council’s 2004 Global Energy Award.
