ICE-WEC has a long history, as Iceland has been a member of WEC since 1949. With Iceland's primary energy use being over 80% from renewable energy sources, ICE-WEC aims to make Iceland an example to the world, showing that the possibility of a clean energy future is here now.

In 2009 the Icelandic Member Committee of WEC hosts the organization's annual Executive Assembly in Reykjavik. This event takes place September 16-19th. more >
