Natural Bitumen and Extra-Heavy Oil Country Notes
United Kingdom
Offshore the United Kingdom has two extra-heavy oil deposits. One is a discovery in the West of Shetlands Basin, for which few data are available. The other is the producing Piper field in the North Sea Graben, which contains oil between 8.7º and 37º API gravity.
