Solar Country Notes

Guinea
The WEC Member Committee for Guinea reports that the republic is well-endowed with solar energy. The average annual hours of sunshine range from
2 000 at Conakry to 2 700 at Kankan, whilst the average daily insolation is estimated at 4.8 kWh/m2, equivalent to some 1 750 kWh/m2/yr. Installed capacity of PV systems is reported to have been 148 kWp at end-2005.
