Bulgaria
Bulgaria's wind energy resources are quite modest. The territory can be divided into four zones according to their wind potential. However, only two of them are of interest with regard to electricity generation: 5-7 m/s and > 7 m/s. The area where the annual average wind speed is in the region of 6 m/s or above is about 1 430 km2.
