Comité National Monégasque

The Monaco National Committee aims to promote sustainable energy development in Monaco, as a part of the WEC’s energy vision. As a member of the WEC network, the organisation is committed to representing Monaco’s national perspective within national, regional and global energy debates. The committee includes a variety of members to ensure that the diverse energy interests of Albania are appropriately represented. Members of the committee are invited to attend high-level events, participate in energy-focused study groups, contribute to technical research and be a part of the global energy dialogue.

Chair: Bernard Fautrier

Chair

Bernard Fautrier was born in Monaco in 1945 and is a Monegasque citizen. From 1984 to 1995 he was Minister for Public Works and Social Affairs for the Monaco Government. From 1995 to August 2003 he was Ambassador of Monaco to Switzerland and United Nations in Geneva. He also served as Minister for International Cooperation. Mr Fautrier has been Chair of the Monaco WEC National Committee since 2009. He is presently Head of Missions to the Prime Minister on questions of sustainable development. He is also Vice President and CEO of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. He has extensive experience in the field of environment at international level. He has chaired both the Barcelona Convention for the protection of the Mediterranean, and the Ramoge Agreement.
