Press Conference - Rio World Energy Leaders Summit

WEC's 2011 Global Energy Issues Survey was launched at a Press Conference held on Wednesday 14th of September, in Rio de Janeiro, the day before the World Energy Leaders’ Summit. The panel, including Pierre Gadonneix, Chairman of WEC, Dr Christoph Frei, Secretary General of WEC and Norberto de Franco Medeiros, Chair of the WEC Brazilian Committee and Member of the Eletrobras Consultative Board, answered questions about the future direction of bio fuel in Brazil and used the opportunity to introduce the Summit meeting which is being held at the City Hall in Rio de Janeiro on the 15th. The Press Conference was followed by a Welcome dinner where Pierre Gadonneix gave an address of welcome and the Algerian Energy Minister, HE Dr Youcef Yousfi  expressed his commitment to the WEC Executive Assembly due to be held in Oran in November.
