Regional Programme

The WEC Africa programme is led by Dr. Abubakar Sambo, WEC Vice-Chair for Africa. The Regional Manager is Dr. Latsoucabé Fall.

An African Regional Action Plan for the 2008-2010 Work Programme is currently under development, details will be announced once initial meetings have taken place in April 2008.

Inga Hydropower Projects: In order to facilitate the development of the Inga Hydropower projects to provide access to affordable and clean electricity to more than 500 millions of Africans who today have none, WEC established "Team Inga" to raise awareness of these projects, further details are available here.
