Technical Programmes

While the Studies have a clearly pronounced focus on long-term energy issues, the WEC Technical Work is more current and practical in nature dealing with today's rather than tomorrow's issues through information and data collection, analysis, focused short study projects, workshops, tutorials.

The 2008-2010 Technical Programme is divided into ongoing projects managed by Technical Committees, and work cycle specific projects led by Task Forces.

Technical Committees include:

• Performance of Generating Plant                                       
• Energy Efficiency Policies and Indicators                    
• Cleaner Fossil Fuels Systems                                         

Task Forces include:

• Interconnectivity
• Biofuels Standards and Technologies
