Energy Efficiency Policies and Indicators

This Committee has been an ongoing joint project between the World Energy Council and the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME) since 1993.

The work is focused on the evaluation of energy efficiency trends around the world and the analysis of the interaction between energy efficiency policies and energy efficiency performance of economies.

Among other things, this Committee benchmarks energy efficiency performance for OECD and non-OECD countries using case studies for particular industrial sectors (cement, steel, etc.). A report was published for the Rome Congress.
