Performance of Generating Plant (PGP)

Over the past 30 years, with the support of major electricity companies throughout the world, the ongoing Committee on the Performance of Generating Plant (PGP) has compiled and published availability statistics for power plants worldwide and produced reports analysing advanced techniques and management practices for improving power plant performance.

It has developed numerous concepts that have helped enhance the performance of power plants and optimise the use of generation assets for the most effective employment of capital and energy resources, thus saving considerable investment in new capacity and avoiding emissions.

An Executive Summary of the groups latest conclusions was published for the Rome Congress. A full report will be released shortly.
