Programme Committee
Interconnectivity Task Force in partnership with CIGRE
Electricity provides access to affordable, diverse and wide-spread applications and is a necessary prerequisite for social and economic development and prosperity, health and security. The key drivers of the wide electrification have been ensuring access to affordable electricity generated, both near and far from the consumption areas. This was supported by the development of transmission lines, grid interconnections and distribution systems.
To identify and demonstrate, both in quantitative and qualitative terms, the potential benefits of properly designed, maintained and operated transmission infrastructure using the state-of-the-art technologies and management practices, including "smart grids".
Further details will be posted once the Committee has held initial meetings.
