More than half of the world’s population lives in cities, and the trend is rising. How can cities become smarter to help fight climate change? Which smart ideas will pave the way to the “Smart City” of tomorrow?

The World Energy Council – Germany as a partner of E-world and part of the Innovation Forum – sheds light on this. According to the motto: “An international view into the future: Smart Cities – Smart Ideas”, we look at the “green metropolises of the future” in the Asia-Pacific region as well as the Smart City project “Aspern Seestadt” – a joint venture of a network operator, an energy supplier, a technology company and the City of Vienna. Start-up pitches with innovative companies complete the program.
