Iva is an energy analyst who has been dedicatedly pursuing her career in energy industry internationally. She has worked for UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, PetroChina in Beijing, energy consultancy Westwood Global Energy Group (WGEG) in London. In 2018, Iva joined Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs where she worked as an energy, trade and sustainable development specialist at the Permanent mission of Croatia to the United Nations and World Trade Organization in Geneva. After diplomatic mandate Iva joined United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in Geneva to work on sustainable energy portfolio. At the UNECE Iva is working closely with the Member States and policy makers to improve access to affordable and clean energy for all and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the carbon footprint of the energy sector in the region.
United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) is one of the five regional commissions under the jurisdiction of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). UNECE's mission is to promote pan-European economic integration across 56 member States in Europe, North America and Asia. As a multilateral platform, UNECE facilitates greater economic integration and cooperation among its member countries and promotes sustainable development and economic prosperity through policy dialogue, negotiation of international legal instruments, development of regulations and norms, exchange and application of best practices as well as economic and technical expertise, technical cooperation for countries with economies in transition.
