In his career, Martin mastered large strategic projects and is experienced as principal in top management consulting. Lately Martin set up a large energy company in Western Germany, scouted global M&A targets in the energy networks space, developed an ecosystem of hundreds of technology-focused companies around energy infrastructure and drove micro grid projects in developing economies. Today Martin is responsible for Strategy, Business Development and Organisational Development at innogy Westenergie.

Innogy SE is an energy company based in Essen, Germany. It is a subsidiary of the German energy company E.ON. The company was created on 1 April 2016, by splitting the renewable, network and retail businesses of RWE into a separate entity.  On 7 October 2016, it was listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.We  serve 23 million customers in Europe.  In March 2018,  E.ON said it would acquire Innogy, in a complex assets swap deal with RWE. The transfer of shares was completed in September 2019.
