Olga Bogdanova is a Deputy Chair of the Supervisory board of Power Transmission System operator of Latvia AS “Augstsprieguma tīkls” holding the shares of the Latvian gas transmission and storage operator. Since 2005, Bogdanova has been working for the governmental sector – since 2018, she is the Director of Tax Administration and Society Interests Policy department at the Ministry of Finance. From 2013 to 2018, she took positions of Head of Energy Market and Infrastructure Unit, Director of Energy Market and Infrastructure Department and Acting Deputy State Secretary for Energy at the Ministry of Economics. Olga has Doctor Degree in Economics. She is an Associate Professor at Riga Technical University. Within the last 3 years, she elaborated two monographs and three scientific publications. In 2017, Dr. Bogdanova was elected as an expert of the Latvian Scientific Council in the field of Economics. Olga participated in US State Department International Visitor Leadership Program “Energy Security and Sustainability”. Olga is a third-year member of the Future Energy Leadership Program and an expert at the World Energy Council.

AS Augstsprieguma tikls (AST) is an independent transmission system operator in the Republic of Latvia (the only operator), engaged in providing electric power transmission network services and ensuring balancing and stability within the transmission network. AST is a  state-owned company. It has 548 employees, owns and operates 5244 km of power lines and 139 substations. AST also holds the shares of the Latvian gas transmission and underground storage operator AS Conexus Baltic Grid. AST participates in the annual Sustainability Index managed by the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Institute, and in 2019, the company received the top Platinum award.
