Senior Sustainability Engineer


Sara Jaber is a Senior Sustainability Engineer at EcoConsulting since 2011 working on BREEAM and LEED assessments, as well as other eco-building services including thermal modelling. She has been involved in over 40 projects in Lebanon and abroad ranging from small residential houses to large developments, comprising BREEAM Excellent and LEED Gold assessments. Sara holds a MEng in Applied Energy and a BEng of Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut. She is also a LEED Accredited Professional and Certified Energy Manager. Sara was selected as a Future Energy Leader of Lebanon by the Lebanon Committee of the World Energy Council as part of its FELL18 program, which she presented at the Beirut Energy Forum in 2019. Sara participates as a Group Coordinator in the Technical Committee for the development of the standard for Building Environmental Performance with LIBNOR. She has been a lecturer on eco-buildings since 2013 and now continues to develop and provide workshops atThe Circular Hub, a learning space about the environment, climate change, circular economy and eco & social entrepreneurship, which she helped establish.

EcoConsulting has been established in London (UK) for 15 years and we opened  our Middle Eastern branch in Beirut in 2011. We specialize in eco-building and offer advice on bioclimatic design, eco-friendly materials, renewable energy, thermal modelling and, daylighting analysis, in addition to the BREEAM and LEED green building certifications, as well as sustainability reports and assistance to access grants and low-interest loans. Our construction projects range from small residential houses to large scale commercial and retail developments.  EcoConsulting is also actively involved in social, economic and environmental sustainability including: general environmental consulting, corporate environmental policies and awareness campaigns, carbon footprint analysis, environmental education activities and coaching eco-entrepreneurs. We also have a wide experience and professional expertise in organizing, running and moderating seminars, conferences, workshops and events on various sustainability topics, including the circular economy, eco-design and eco-building.   In 2019, we launched The Circular Hub which is a learning space about the environment, climate change, circular economy as well as eco & social entrepreneurship through a variety of seminars, workshops, activities and games.
