The Hong Kong Member Committee of the World Energy Council (WEC HK) has been part of the WEC family for over a decade. Their members are composed of electric and gas utilities as well as a power equipment manufacturer.

Chair: Richard Lancaster

Mr Richard Lancaster is the Chief Executive Officer of CLP Holdings Limited, the parent company of the CLP Group (formerly China Light and Power Company Limited). Mr Lancaster has been with CLP since 1992 and has over 25 years’ experience in the power industry and other industrial operations in Australia, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. Prior to his current role, Mr Lancaster was Managing Director for CLP Power Hong Kong, CLP Group’s main subsidiary in Hong Kong which supplies power to over 5.7 million people throughout Kowloon and New Territories, with operations encompassing the supply of fuels, the generation of electricity in power plants located in Hong Kong and the Mainland and operating an extensive electricity transmission and distribution network.

Secretary: Jeanne Chi Yun Ng

Dr. Ng is responsible for CLP Group's sustainability matters, including sustainability-related strategy, reporting and communications. She joined CLP upon the establishment of the Group Environmental Affairs department in 2003 and was previously Director - Group Environmental Affair s responsible for the development and roll-out of corporate environmental policy and strategy across the CLP Group.
Dr. Ng holds a BSc in Toxicology from the University of Toronto and a PhD in Environmental Management from the University of Hong Kong. She has extensive experience in the environmental industry and has held senior roles in international environmental / engineering consulting companies prior to joining CLP. She was involved in most of the early Hong Kong governmental air pollution and climate strategy and policy studies and is regarded as one of Hong Kong's experts in air and greenhouse gas emissions inventories. Dr. Ng is currently a member of a number of organisations including the Hong Kong Climate Change Forum and the Board of Directors for Sustainability at Arizona State University. She was previously a member of the Advisory Council of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the Working Group of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC), as well as a Board member of the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and the Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA). Dr. Ng is also a frequent guest lecturer on environmental and sustainable development issues at various Hong Kong universities and is currently a Member of the Advisory Committee of the School of Energy & Environment at City University of Hong Kong, the Advisory Committee on Environmental Science at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Local Advisory Committee of the Division of Environment at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
