Singapore Member Committee


The Singapore National Committee aims to promote sustainable energy development in Singapore, as a part of the Council’s energy vision. As a member of the Council’s network, the organisation is committed to representing the Singaporean perspective within national, regional and global energy debates. The committee includes a variety of members to ensure that the diverse energy interests of Singapore are appropriately represented. Members of the committee are invited to attend high-level events, participate in energy-focused study groups, contribute to technical research and be a part of the global energy dialogue.

Chair: Kim Yin Wong

Mr Wong Kim Yin is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Power Ltd (SP), since January 2012. As the Group CEO of SP, he is concurrently the Chairman of SP PowerAssets Ltd and PowerGas Ltd, Singapore District Cooling Pte Ltd and a Director of SP Services Ltd. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Seatown Pte Ltd, Board of Governors of Singapore Polytechnic and Committee to the Council for Private Education, Ministry of Education Singapore, and state-owned China Venture Capital Fund Corporation Ltd.
Prior to 2012, he was Senior Managing Director of Investment at Temasek International (Pte) Ltd. From 1995 to 2002, he worked for The AES Corporation, a power company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Mr. Wong holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
