Cristian is passionate about driving forward innovative solutions for sustainable energy. Throughout his studies in mechanical engineering in Colombia and Brazil and energy economics at the Ecole de Mines de Paris in France, he has developed technical skills and economical insights that help him to address the Global Climate Challenges using a multicultural approach. In his ten years working in Colombia, Brazil, and France, he has been at the forefront of developing innovative new products and managing new business lines in energy transition solutions. Since joining Iberdrola as Head of the Smart Solutions Department this year, Cristian is leading a team in energy efficiency, electric mobility, smart solar, green energy, and digital innovation.
