Guillaume Bence-Hébert is a Senior Consultant and Project Manager at Trama TecnoAmbiental (TTA), a global engineering firm specialising in renewable energy and rural electrification. Guillaume is also an appointed Future Energy Leader at the World Energy Council. 

As an energy access specialist within TTA’s Africa Unit, his responsibilities consist of providing technical advisory to governments, multilateral institutions and humanitarian agencies, with the aim to accelerate the energy transition in Sub-Saharan countries, and assist underprivileged communities gain access to electricity. 

Formerly a Principal Consultant at Jacobs Strategic Consulting in Canada, Guillaume specialised in risk assessment and management. His role involved performing due diligence evaluation for infrastructure investments and advising on the technical, commercial and financial risks of public-private partnership (PPP) projects, including for mandates with Capex values in excess of $1 billion.

As an appointed Future Energy Leader with the World Energy Council (WEC), Guillaume led a team of 20 experts to pursue one of the Council's newest ventures, the Visionario Project. The initiative aimed to perform a comparative analysis of the most notable energy and emissions projections published by leading institutions, and support the development of future WEC scenarios. 

Following this endeavour, Guillaume was also selected as Regional Coordinator for the WEC’s flagship World Energy Trilemma Index publication, representing the North American region. 

Guillaume holds a Master of Science in Energy Science, Technology and Policy (ESTP) from Carnegie Mellon University, along with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto.
