Lara Schech

Manager Energy Economics and Corporate Positioning, EnBW

A UWC and Sciences Po alumna, Lara holds a dual postgraduate degree in International Energy Economics and Business Administration from the University of Leipzig and the MGIMO in Moscow, graduating with a thesis on offshore wind energy tenders in Germany. She is since working as Manager for Energy Economics and Corporate Positioning in the Strategy Department of German energy company EnBW, currently with a partial secondment in project management to the Offshore Wind Portfolio Development team. Besides her work, Lara is active as Board Member of the Young Energy Professionals (YEP) of the WEC Germany and as Board Member at the Hertie School Energy and Environment Network (HEEN). Passionate about intergenerational equity and combatting the climate crisis, Lara was active in the German youth NGO Klimadelegation e.V. for many years, where she participated in the UN climate negotiations as UNFCCC observer and youth delegate at COP23 and COP24, and contributed to various projects on international climate action.
