Communications & Media Team

Stuart Neil is Senior Director, External Affairs and Communications. Stuart oversees the World Energy Council’s relationships with Intergovernmental Organisations and other key stakeholders. He leads the communications team in the WEC Secretariat based in London where he is responsible for all external and internal communications on behalf of the Communications and Outreach Committee. He supports the development of WEC’s studies, provides strategic communications counsel to the Secretary General and acts as a spokesperson for the organisation.

Florence Mazzone is Senior Manager, Media & Communications. Florence is a member of the Communications team. She is responsible for external communication and outreach projects for various WEC activities around the world from the WEC Secretariat in London. She has a special responsibility for WEC’s online presence and for developing media relations in Europe, Africa and Latin America & the Caribbean. Florence’s role is also to strengthen internal communication within the WEC network and to support member committees in their communications efforts.  She is fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish.

Monique Tsang is Manager, Media Relations. Monique is a member of the Communications team based in London. She is responsible for external communication and outreach projects for various WEC activities around the world. She has a special responsibility for developing media relations in North America, Asia, the Middle East, and the UK. Monique also edits the WEC’s in-house news update for its global network and assists WEC’s Member Committees in their own outreach efforts. She speaks English, Spanish, Chinese,and some Russian.

2013 World Energy Congress

The organising committee of the 2013 World Energy Congress, which takes place in Daegu, South Korea, from 13 to 17 October 2013 have appointed the global PR company, FTI Consulting, to support media in reporting about the Congress.  The event attracts significant media attention and the PR team will be running a media centre for accredited journalists from both press and broadcast.
