Nishant Kumar Sharma is Deputy General Manager at NTPC Limited, where he leads strategy formulation and risk management, driving the company's transition toward a more sustainable and innovative energy future. Since joining NTPC in 2009, he has built a strong foundation through a decade of operational fieldwork before moving into corporate strategy, where he applies his deep sector knowledge to shape long-term organisational resilience and growth. 

Nishant’s expertise extends beyond NTPC through his active involvement with the World Energy Council. Until 2024, he served as a Board Member in the Studies Committee and a participant in the Future Energy Leader Cohort. He contributes to shaping global discussions on renewable energy, sustainability, and international energy collaboration. His work focuses on integrating data-driven insights into strategic decision-making, fostering innovation, and building leadership capacity within the evolving energy sector.
