8th Vienna Energy Security Dialogue
Co-organised by World Energy Council Austria & OSCE
On Monday, 22 September 2025, in Vienna.
With global tensions rising and trade growing more complex and volatile, energy security has returned to the top of the international agenda. Clean energy ambitions increasingly intersect with geopolitical realities that are reshaping today’s security landscape. Jointly organised by the World Energy Council Austria and the OSCE, in cooperation with Ernst & Young and the Federation of Austrian Industries, the eighth edition of the Vienna Energy Security Dialogue will examine how to strengthen energy security in an era of uncertainty and shifting global dynamics.
Bringing together leading experts and high-level decision-makers from the public and private sectors, academia, and civil society, including Dr. Tatiana Mitrova (Research Fellow, Centre on Global Energy Policy, Columbia University) and Gauri Singh (Deputy Director-General, International Renewable Energy Agency), among others, this year’s sessions will address the following timely topics:
- Redefining Energy Security in a Geopolitically Uncertain World
- The Energy Sector Under Pressure – Navigating Global Shifts in Trade, Market & Economic Cooperation
- Securing Energy in the Digital Age – The Importance of Technology & Cyber-Resilience
