Women in Energy Ambassadors | Sylvie Jéhanno, CEO of Dalkia

For the next “Women in Energy Ambassadors” event – an informal discussion with a female leader from the energy sector – the Secretary General of the World Energy Council France, Marie-Line Vaiani, and the Young Professionals group (YEP France) will be speaking with Sylvie Jéhanno, Chief Executive Officer of Dalkia.

Sylvie Jéhanno will talk about her career path (*), her perspective on the energy sector and the challenges it presents, particularly for those entering the sector today.

Join on Monday, 8 June at 6.15 pm for a tour of the Dalkia showroom followed by a discussion with Sylvie Jéhanno

(*) Sylvie Jéhanno (École Polytechnique, Ingénieur des Mines de Paris) is Chief Executive Officer of Dalkia, a subsidiary of EDF (turnover: approx. €6.5 billion and over 22,000 employees in France and internationally) specialising in energy services and the development of renewable and recovered energy to help its clients (local authorities, industrial firms, landlords, healthcare establishments, …) to save energy and reduce their CO2 emissions over the long term.

She joined EDF GDF Services in 1994 as a gas network operations manager. In 2005, she was appointed B2B Marketing Director, then Key Accounts Director in 2007. In 2011, she became Director of Residential Customers at EDF, leading a team of 5,000 people managing 25 million customers and accelerating the digital transformation of EDF’s customer relations.

On 1 January 2017, she became Managing Director of Dalkia, and then CEO on 1 January 2018. She launched a strategic plan aimed at redeveloping Dalkia internationally and positioning it as a leader in the energy transition of local areas (renewable heating and cooling networks, decarbonisation of industry and buildings).

She is committed to increasing the number of women in scientific and technical professions and, in 2018, established the “Women’s Energy in Transition” award.
Sylvie Jéhanno is also co-chair of the public interest group “Les entreprises s’engagent”, which brings together more than 100,000 companies committed to an inclusive society and a more sustainable world.
Sylvie Jéhanno is a member of the French Academy of Technologies.
Sylvie Jéhanno is a Knight of the Legion of Honour and an Officer of the National Order of Merit.
