Perspectives of the energy transition in the Iberian Peninsula

On Thursday, 9 October 2025, at MEETING PLACE, Castellana 81, 28046 Madrid. 

Conference, face-to-face and free, organised by the Spanish Committee of the World Energy Council (CECME), Spanish Energy Club, and sponsored by EDP. With simultaneous translation.

Under the title "Perspectives of the Energy Transition in the Iberian Peninsula", we will explore the many common points that exist in the energy transition of Spain and Portugal, the challenges and opportunities that arise, addressing among other topics, the energy trilemma; the Iberian electricity market; security of supply; renewable energies; networks; or the role of the demand.

In addition, the programme will include sessions focused on geopolitics and the external vision, which will serve to place the Iberian Peninsula at the new international crossroads and European policies. Benchmark studies from the World Energy Council, such as the World Energy Trilemma 2024 and the World Energy Issues Monitor 2025, will also be very present.
