Join us on the Tour

This month, the Tour takes us to Australia – a traditional energy powerhouse rapidly building the foundations for a new energy future.

Australia is the world's largest metallurgical coal exporter and second-largest LNG exporter, powering steel mills and economies across Asia. At home, it has built the highest rooftop solar uptake per capita on Earth, and a home battery boom now among the fastest in the world. Hornsdale, one of the first big batteries built at grid scale, showed the world how storage could stabilise a renewable-heavy grid – a lesson other countries are still learning from.

The Tour will walk us through the full system – coal and gas exports, mining and transport, rooftop solar and the grid – and the opportunity ahead, seen through the World Energy Trilemma.
