The Role of Gas in a Decarbonising Economy

Wednesday, 16 July 2025, from 5:00 PM - 7:30 pm (NZST), Chapman Tripp, 15 Customs Street West #Level 34, Auckland, Auckland 1010, New Zealand.

Curious about the role of gas in the Aotearoa energy transition?

Join the Young Energy Professionals Network (YEPN) NZ’s next panel event in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland, sponsored by Chapman Tripp. They will also be joined by Genesis’s Insa Errey (Senior Manager Future Fuels) and Chapman Tripp’s Simon Peart (Competition and Regulatory Partner) and Lauren Curtayne (Corporate Partner, Head of Energy).

These experts will unpack topics such as the role of gas today, implications of Budget 2025, security of supply issues as availability declines, and other alternatives to gas, e.g. biomethane and the hydrogen economy. And of course, answer any burning questions from the network! As always, there'll be plenty of time to network and connect with other YEPs across Tāmaki Makaurau.
