This year, the World Energy Council Austria is celebrating its 100th anniversary.

To mark this occasion, a festive event will take place on September 7, 2023, at the House of Industry in Vienna. The anniversary event, "100 Years of the World Energy Council Austria," will shed light on the history, present, and future of the Austrian energy industry.

The event will commence with a distinguished opening session featuring President Georg Knill, President Dr. Michael Strugl, Chair Dr. Michael Howard, Mayor Dr. Michael Ludwig (to be confirmed), and Minister Leonore Gewessler.

Experts from the energy sector, industry, academia, politics, and charitable organizations will participate in five panel discussions covering topics such as history, transformation, energy policy, social aspects, and a future workshop.

Additionally, the introduction of the Young Energy Professionals/Future Energy Leaders 100 Alumni Club will bridge the gap to the future. Following the event, a reception will provide a fitting conclusion to the anniversary celebration.
