The 9th St.Petersburg International Gas forum

From 1 to 4 October, the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Centre is going to host the 9th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, one of the largest specialized convention and exhibition events in the oil and gas industry.

The St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (SPIGF) invite representatives of federal and regional authorities, top managers of major international and Russian industrial corporations, global experts, heads of relevant universities and innovation centres. Moreover, this year's forum will involve participation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Government of St. Petersburg, the Russian Export Center JSC, Association of European business, European Gas Association, NGV Italy, the Russian Gas Society, as well as other international and Russian sector-wide associations.

The central event of the Forum will be the Plenary session "Strategic priorities of international energy partnership", involving participation of representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation, international and foreign companies, educational and research organisations.

In addition, The 8th International Congress of Oil and Gas Industry Professionals, will he held as part of the Forum. The congress will feature plenary sessions, specialized conferences, round table discussions, case contests, and scientific and technical meetings.

The architecture of the convention program is based on twelve thematic areas:

  1. Automation, informatization of the oil and gas industry
  2. Gas distribution and gas consumption
  3. Youth policy
  4. Petrochemistry and ecology
  5. Energy security
  6. Import substitution in the oil and gas industry
  7. LNG, gas engine fuel, CNG, LPG, APG
  8. Investment and financing
  9. Social and HR policies
  10. Technological development
  11. Global gas market
  12. Design in the gas industry

The Forum will bring fourth issues such as HR and social policies of the Oil & Gas industry. At the Conference “HR and Social Policies of Companies in Development of the Russian Oil and Gas Complex”, participants will focus on the requisites to preserve good health of employees in the workplace, on the trends of labour market, motivation and higher loyalty, the development of the performance and personality potential of employees, the corporate culture modernization.

'The business program' will include the Technological Development Closed Session. The session will involve representatives of the administration of Gazprom PJSC, heads of subsidiary companies, employees of R&D and industry-specific organisations.

'The Youth Day' will also be part of the SPIGF 2019, bringing together representatives of the sectoral business elite and students from leading universities in Russia and Europe to discuss the career opportunities of would-be professionals and development of the industry as a whole.

'The best solutions and pilot projects' in the oil and gas industry from leading Russian and international companies will be presented in an extensive exposition:

  • The 7th International Specialized Exhibition “InGAS Stream – Innovations in the Gas Industry
  • The 4th Corporate Exposition “Import Substitution in the Gas Industry”,
  • The 6th International Specialized Exhibition “Gas Engine Fuel”, and the 23rd International Specialized Exhibition of Natural Gas Industry and Technologies for Gas Facilities “ROS-GAS-EXPO”.

Gazprom PJSC, Uniper SE, OMV AG, Wintershall Dea GmbH, Comita Group of Companies, Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V., HMS Group, TMK PJSC and others have already confirmed their participation.

In 2018, SPIGF once again proved its status of a high-profile event in the energy industry, acting as a top rated international platform for discussing crucial issues of the gas industry. Over the four days of the event, 16,500 people had attended - including 5,000 delegates from 51 countries.
