Trust as the foundation of leadership marked the new meeting of Women in Energy Ambassadors at WEC Chile
Organised by World Energy Council Chile
In July 2026, the event brought together women leaders from across the energy sector to discuss leadership, career development, and the importance of building supportive professional networks. Enel Distribución General Manager Mónica Hodor shared key lessons from her leadership journey, while participants emphasized that trust enables collaboration, innovation, and stronger decision-making, whereas fear limits both individual and organisational potential.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of women taking an active role in shaping their careers by embracing new opportunities, making their contributions visible, and seeking greater responsibilities. Speakers underscored the value of having sponsors within organizations, the strategic importance of developing global skills—particularly English proficiency—and the role of strong communities in advancing the energy transition. The event concluded with a visit to Enel Distribución’s Operations Center and a reflection on the findings of the World Energy Issues Monitor, reinforcing that successful energy transitions depend not only on technology and policy, but also on trust, collaboration, and shared purpose.
