Sobriety, A Lever of Resilience for Companies

Hosted by World Energy Council France (French Energy Council) and organised by one of its members, Enerdata.

On Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm

Resource scarcity, volatility in energy and material prices, climate emergency, use of AI, geopolitical tensions... Faced with this convergence of risks, companies must adapt and innovate to control the uncertainties.

How can sobriety then become a lever for risk control and value creation?

In 2025, seven major French companies, accompanied by Enerdata, Missions Publiques, and Entreprises pour l'Environnement (EpE), and have launched a collective approach in order to:

  • to structure common approaches and methodologies,
  • to experiment with the implementation of concrete sobriety approaches at the heart of their activities and with their stakeholders,
  • to share their feedback.

During the webinar, they will share the main lessons learned from this work:

What is sobriety for a company? How can it be deployed across the entire value chain and integrated into strategic and operational decisions?

What are the brakes and levers to be activated to deploy new sober economic models? A look back at the concrete pilot initiatives deployed in these 7 companies.

This webinar will conclude with a 20-minute Q&A session with the speakers:

  • Carine de Boissezon - Chief Impact Officer, EDF
  • Marcos Pérez-Díaz - Climate Senior Advisor, TotalEnergies
  • Pascal Charriau - President, Enerdata
  • Marie Rousselot - Head of Market Intelligence, Enerdata
  • Catherine ChevauchéNature Director, Veolia
