Three years ago, the French Energy Council organised a dialogue on the conclusions of the parliamentary commission of inquiry on France's energy sovereignty.

Today, between energy dominance, war, and ecological civilization, what energy sovereignty is possible for France and for Europe?

Industrial sectors, raw materials, financing, technological innovation, regulation... Do we have the relevant means to achieve a form of energy sovereignty?

Competitiveness, climate, energy sovereignty: is it possible to achieve these three objectives?

In the era of power relations, what place for energy diplomacy and international cooperation?

To shed light on these questions, several key players will intervene:

What energy sovereignty?
This was the theme of the symposium organised by World Energy Council France and PwC France on July 1 in a packed room, bringing together representatives of the main public and private energy players.

Through a dense agenda, several angles were addressed:

- The imperative of energy sovereignty in regard to the geopolitical context (energy dominance, weaponization of energy, and ecological civilization)

- The vision of the State - energy sovereignty, now one of the priorities of the PPE3; and the place of foreign energy policy in the era of power relations

- What National energy sovereignty within the European framework?

- What technological and industrial sovereignty for energy? Strengths and vulnerabilities of energy and mineral value chains

- Acceleration of the electrification of uses, a lever for energy sovereignty

- No sovereignty without security and resilience

- Competitiveness, climate, energy sovereignty - can we reconcile the three?
