Haider Alabdulaal is a seasoned strategy executive whose 18-year career is defined by his work at the nexus of the energy industry and national policy. He began his career with a foundational decade at Saudi Aramco, after which he expanded his private sector experience with roles in market analysis and corporate strategy advisory. He now works as a Policies and Strategic Planning Adviser at the Ministry of Energy.

His international work includes consulting for Ecopetrol, a fellowship at OPEC, and regularly contributing to several reports for the World Energy Council. Additionally, he serves as a visiting lecturer at HEC-Paris, teaching energy economics and strategies in their MBA and executive programs.

A graduate of Texas A&M University, the Institut Français du Pétrole (IFP), and the Colorado School of Mines, he is skilled at turning complex energy data into strategies for both companies and governments, focusing on stakeholder management to drive consensus using a bottom-up approach and evidence-based market analysis.
