Simone Pereira de Souza

Regional Director of Sustainability, Latin America and Caribbean, Boeing

Simone Pereira de Souza is Sustainability Regional Director for Latin America & the Caribbean at Boeing, where she leads the company’s regional engagement, public policy and strategic partnerships. In this role she represents Boeing’s interests across a diverse stakeholder landscape, working closely with industry, governments and regulators to advance safe, resilient and sustainable aviation in the region.

With a strong technical background in sustainability and life-cycle assessment, Simone has contributed to shaping international regulation across both aviation and maritime sectors. Prior to joining Boeing, she was an LCA Sustainability & Advocacy Expert at Raízen, leading decarbonization policy advocacy and providing technical support for regulatory compliance. Also served as Technical Advisor to the Brazilian Delegation at the International Maritime Organization (IMO). She also spent several years at the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) as their resident LCA and GHG expert, and earlier engaged in academic research on techno-economic assessments, LCA studies and greenhouse gas accounting. Simone holds a PhD in Energy Planning from the School of Mechanical Engineering at Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
