Global Electricity Initiative: 2014 Report

The 2014 report of the Global Electricity Initiative (GEI) identifies the untapped opportunities for electricity utilities to further deliver a low-carbon future. The study covers utilities from countries which together account for about 80% of the global installed generating capacity.

The GEI is working to facilitate action and cooperation among electricity utilities around the world to achieve access to electricity for all in a reliable, affordable and sustainable way. GEI aims to build an international community of electricity industry leaders and conveys the sector leaders’ messages to policymakers. It conducts regular surveys to identify and share information on the main trends and issues as well as best practices among utilities.
