Barbara Terenghi

At Edison since 1997, Barbara Terenghi held several managerial positions in the Human Resources Division, particularly in human capital and leadership development. In 2016 she was appointed CEO’s Executive Assistant and, from 2016 to 2020, she led the company’s Transformation Team, a cross-divisional programme promoting the sustainable energy transition across the company. In 2021 she was appointed Director of Sustainability and, since that year, she has been Board member of EOS Foundation, established by Edison in 2021 with the aim of creating social value in vulnerable communities through social innovation.

In July 2022, she joined the Edison Executive Committee with the responsibility of the Sustainability Division; she also acts as the CEO’s Office Director. In Edison she is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Digital Academy, the Edison’s permanent training programme on digital innovation. Since 2022 she has been serving on the Board of Directors of the United Nations Global Compact Italian Network. She also represents Edison SpA in the “Consiglio Gruppo Energia” of Assolombarda, the most relevant employers’ association in Italy for size and representativeness.

She is part of the “Banco dell’Energia” Steering Committee, a multi-stakeholders’ foundation supporting vulnerable families and third sector organizations by implementing projects to fight energy poverty. She belongs to the “InTheBoardroom” network, made up of over 380 women who have attended the Higher Education programme for executives (X class) promoting diversity within the Boards of Directors. She began her career in consulting companies specialized in Human Capital.

She graduated in Business Administration at Luigi Bocconi University in Milan.
