Sanam Shaikh
Sanam is a Programme Manager in the Global Agenda team at the World Energy Council. She supports the development and delivery of the Council’s thought leadership and convening programmes, with a focus on inclusive, human-centred energy transitions. Her background spans international development, philanthropy, and human rights.
Prior to joining the Council, she led regional programmes at iProbono and helped build a justice network across South Asia. She has also consulted on global health initiatives with a range of nonprofits, multilateral organisations, and strategy firms. Sanam holds an MSc in Development Studies from SOAS University of London and is passionate about creating spaces where diverse ideas and communities come together to shape a more just and sustainable world. Sanam speaks English and Urdu fluently.
