World Energy Council welcomes new CEO for SE4All

Rachel Kyte, currently serving as the World Bank Group’s Vice President and Special Envoy for Climate Change, has been appointed the new CEO of the Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All) initiative with effect from 1 January 2016.

In welcoming her appointment, Christoph Frei said: “SE4All and The World Energy Council share common goals.  We’re looking forward to working closely with Rachel in her new position as she leads it into a new chapter.”

The announcement came ahead of the UN General Assembly where world leaders will formally adopt energy as a sustainable goal. http://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/summit/
