World Energy Council announces Xiaowei Liu as Director for Special Projects, Asia

The World Energy Council has announced the appointment of Xiaowei Liu as Director for Special Projects, Asia.
 
In her new role, she will strengthen our presence across Asia and help us deliver our humanising energy vision in the region.

Prior to this, Xiaowei worked 26+ years for Shell, where she led External Relations teams of various sizes at the country, regional and global business level and held various elective roles across China, UK, NL and most recently in Singapore as the Regional Vice President for External Relations, Asia Pacific.

Xiaowei also serves as a Board Member of the Marketing Society Singapore, and the Advisory Board of GGEF, a social enterprise promoting sustainability.

Xiaowei has a bachelor’s degree in art and social science from Beijing Foreign Studies University, China and a master’s degree in Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK. She is fluent in Chinese and English.
