The National Symposium on Electric Power Quality, now in its 16th edition, is a traditional event that aims to highlight the continuity of the concerns of energy specialists in Romania regarding the quality of energy supplied to electricity users, to honor the memory of our great predecessors, acad. Constantin Budeanu, acad. I.S. Antoniu, Mrs. Eng. Albert Hermina, and many others who made an important contribution to the definition of electromagnetic disturbances, of electric power quality indicators as well as of solutions to ensure that quality indicators are within the limits imposed by economic activity but also by international standards. The important changes in the structure of the electric power system through the emergence of renewable energy sources, modern energy storage systems, the presence of increasingly demanding users with the characteristics of the energy supplied, the increase in the requirements of the performance standards of electricity suppliers, the development of measurement systems, the operation and processing of special problems in which to be determined in the largest electrical activities. energy engineers.
