Sylvain Waserman

Born in December 1967, Sylvain Waserman graduated from the National Institute of Telecommunications (Télécom SudParis), the Institute of Business Administration (IAE), earned an MBA from the Theseus Institute, and is also a graduate of the French National School of Administration (ENA, class of 2006–2008).
Sylvain Waserman has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ADEME since July 2023.
Formerly the Chief Executive Officer of a mid-sized company (ETI) in the energy sector, he also built his career in the telecommunications industry.
He served as Vice-President of the French National Assembly for five years. During his parliamentary term, he championed two major pieces of legislation: one promoting civic and voluntary engagement, and another strengthening the protection of whistleblowers.
He was Mayor of the Alsatian village of Quatzenheim for ten years (2008–2017) and has also been actively involved as a volunteer with Unis-Cité, the pioneering organization behind France's Civic Service (Service Civique) programme.
