She also has experience working with thinks tanks and conducting policy analysis to provide evidence-based recommendations to Indian ministries. In this role, she worked with an international development organization in Netherlands, developing a comprehensive rubric for reviewing gender commitments in energy access across 149 UN Energy compacts by different stakeholders. The findings, which were published in the UN Energy Annual Progress Report 2022, have directly contributed to making the reporting on the energy compacts more gender sensitive. Naimat also has an undergraduate degree in Economics and an MBA in International Business. She is interested in studying global energy policies and its impact on social development, equity, and justice.
