Arman Makhambetov

Manager of Digitalisation Department - KEGOCJSC

I, Arman Makhambetov, was born on May 3, 1997, in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. I am a Project Manager in the Digitalisation Department at KEGOC, Kazakhstan's national transmission system operator. My expertise lies in energy transformation, digitalisation, and grid modernisation.

I earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nazarbayev University, where I developed a passion for smart grids, renewable energy forecasting, and energy storage. To gain hands-on experience, I joined the Zhas Orken leadership program, where I worked in KEGOC, Alatau Light, Samruk Energy, and KazMunaiGas, focusing on renewable energy forecasting, big data analytics, and digitalisation.

At KEGOC, I lead projects on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), AI-driven forecasting, and automated frequency control. I have also participated in international energy programs, including the SECCA Study Tour and a Smart Grid training in China.
