Carlo Roberto Maria Mongini

Carlo Mongini is a Public Affairs professional dedicated to advancing a sustainable and equitable energy transition in Italy. At A2A, one of Italy's leading multi-utilities, he leads relationships with associations, think tanks and universities, steers the development of position papers, and supports executive positioning by translating complex policy and regulatory developments into clear, decision-ready briefs. He also coordinates multi-stakeholder initiatives across civil society and internal business units, ensuring alignment on objectives, deliverables and timelines. Prior to joining A2A, Carlo served as Programme Manager at ISPI, Italy's foremost think tank on international affairs, where he managed programme delivery for major corporate members and contributed to shaping research agendas and high-level dialogues on energy transition and infrastructure. He also coordinated the Task Force on International Finance within the T20 - the G20's official Think Tank Engagement Group - and co-authored the 2021 T20 Communiqué submitted to the Italian G20 Presidency, with a focus on ESG and climate-related financial risks. Carlo holds Swiss and Italian citizenship, has lived and worked across Europe, and operates at full professional proficiency in English and intermediate French.
