Elizabeth Obode

Elizabeth I. Obode is an energy strategist, industrial development professional, and engineer. She is currently a Fellow of the Mission 300, working as an advisor to the minister of energy in Sierra Leone, supporting the World Bank/AfDB’s goal to power 300 million Africans by 2030. Previously, she was an advisor to national oil companies looking to develop portfolios in transition minerals across lithium brines, rare earths, and graphite; senior strategy consultant at Oliver Wyman, shaping private sector and national energy/industrialization strategies for the M/east and Africa, including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and S/Africa. She was also a field engineer with Schlumberger, leading multiple offshore and onshore operations in Nigeria. An active contributor to global energy, Elizabeth has spoken at COP28, ADIPEC, NAICE, and contributed to BRICS Energy Outlook. She has 7 publications in areas ranging from mathematical modelling to policy positions in the energy industry. She holds a B.Sc. Petroleum Engineering from the University of Ibadan, awarded on a full ExxonMobil Scholarship, and an M.Sc. Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M, earned under prestigious academic awards from ConocoPhillips and the Qatar Foundation.
