Inchan Hwang

Managing Partner, SCC Partners

Inchan Hwang works at the intersection of clean energy transition and institutional investing - two worlds that are deeply intertwined yet rarely speak the same language. As Founder and Managing Partner of SCC Partners, a climate and energy advisory with offices in London and Seoul, his work bridges research, advisory, and capacity building - helping international organisations, governments, and investors navigate clean energy transitions across emerging and developing economies. His career spans the full arc of climate finance. At the Green Climate Fund, he was an inaugural team member building the institution's private equity fund investment practice. At British International Investment, he invested in climate and energy infrastructure across Southeast Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. He previously served as Energy Investment Analyst at the IEA, contributing to the World Energy Outlook and World Energy Investment series, and has since returned as External Consultant. He has also published research on clean energy investing with Imperial College Business School. Inchan holds an MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University and a BS in Society and Environment (Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of California, Berkeley.
